At 71 x 86cm this is the largest pad we make — roughly two and a half times the area of a standard 60 x 60cm pad. It exists for the situations where normal pads have simply run out of room: giant breeds, whelping boxes, large crates, and dogs whose incontinence means one pad has to hold a full night.

When a normal pad isn't enough

There is a point at which buying more pads stops being the answer and buying a bigger one starts. A Great Dane, a German Shepherd with mobility problems, a litter of puppies in a whelping box, the floor of a giant crate — in all of these, a 60 x 60cm pad is something your dog steps over rather than onto. This one covers the area properly.

Instant-gel core

Liquid turns to gel on contact rather than sitting on the surface, which is what stops tracking — the wet paw prints that appear three rooms away. The core holds a genuinely large volume, the quilted structure spreads it out instead of concentrating it in one saturated patch, and a leak-proof backing seals the underside. Odour is locked into the gel.

Corner tapes that hold

A pad this size has more surface to slide on, so the adhesive tapes matter more, not less. All four corners anchor to hard flooring and keep the pad flat and taut.

Not sure you need this size?

Most dogs don't. For small and medium breeds, the 60 x 60cm pads in 30, 50 or 100 packs are the sensible choice, and the 60 x 90cm extra large sits between the two. Size up to XXL only if your dog is genuinely large or you need one pad to last a whole night.
