The pack to start with. Thirty large 60 x 60cm pads is roughly the first three to four weeks of house-training a new puppy — enough to get through the phase where accidents happen daily, without committing to a box of a hundred before you know how your dog gets on with them.
Six layers, not two
Economy pads are a sheet of tissue over a sheet of plastic. Ours are built in six layers. The top sheet wicks liquid away from the surface within seconds, so paws stay dry and nothing gets walked into the carpet. Underneath, a super-absorbent polymer core turns liquid to gel and locks it there — around 200% more capacity than a standard pad of the same size. A sealed leak-proof backing means nothing reaches the floor underneath.
They stay where you put them
A pad that skids across the kitchen the moment your puppy steps on it teaches your dog nothing except that the floor moves. Adhesive tabs at all four corners anchor ours to hard flooring, so the pad stays flat and your puppy learns that one particular spot is the right spot.
A built-in attractant
Each pad carries a pheromone attractant that draws your dog towards it. It won't do the training for you, but in the first fortnight it noticeably cuts down on near-misses — particularly overnight and when you're out of the room.
Also useful for
- Senior dogs — overnight cover in the spot where they sleep
- Crate lining — one pad covers the base of most medium crates
- Under food and water bowls — catches splash and spills
- Post-surgery recovery — when getting outside is difficult
- Travel and rented homes — inexpensive insurance against a deposit

Which pack size do I need?
Most owners use two to four pads a day during active training. The 30 pack suits the first few weeks or a small dog. If you are training a medium breed, or you already know pads are part of your long-term routine, the 50 or 100 pack works out considerably cheaper per pad. For larger breeds or heavy overnight use, size up to the 60 x 90cm extra large pads instead.
